Nanogirl and Boris, along with CLAIR (the Constantly Learning Artificial Intelligence Repository) are back with an action-packed theatre show, bringing you LIVE science and engineering as you've never seen before!

Little Bang, Big Bang is filled with mind-blowing science, EXPLOSIVE engineering, lots of laughs and lots of opportunities to join Nanogirl in an experiment on stage. This interactive show tours globally and promises to take the whole family on an unforgettable science adventure!

Thanks to this partnership, more than 300 teachers will attend Nanogirl Live! absolutely free of charge, and take away amazing resources to help them bring science to their students, Nanogirl-style!

Pay It Forward


At Nanogirl, our mission is to help increase diversity in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) by increasing accessibility to science education. Our Pay-It-Forward program provides a way for tickets to be purchased as a gift for a child in one of our charity partner programs. If you would like to give the gift of science to a child who would otherwise not have access, you can purchase a ticket here.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the theatre show?

The show runs for approximately 1 hour.

My child/children are under 5 years old, can they still attend?

Due to the explosive nature of some of our experiments and the loud noises that result, we recommend the show for children 5 years and above. If you would like to bring a younger child, we suggest bringing along ear protection and ensuring they are comfortable with the format and nature of the show.

Do I have to purchase an A-reserve ticket to qualify for VIP?

No. Any ticket holder can purchase the VIP experience as an add on. Adults do not need to purchase a VIP experience, they can accompany their child/children for free.

How can I add on the VIP experience to my ticket after I’ve purchased?

For Auckland & Wellington shows, contact Ticketmaster’s helpline at 09 970 9700. They will be able to add it into your account.

For Christchurch shows, contact Ticketek’s helpline on 0800 842 538 and they will be able to add it into your account.

What happens if I purchase a ticket and can no longer attend?

Please contact your ticketing provider Ticketmaster or Ticketek for further information regarding refunds.

I can’t attend but want to gift a ticket, how do I do that?

Our Pay-It-Forward program lets you purchase a ticket that we gift to a child in one of our charity partner programs. Pay-It-Forward tickets can be purchased here. You don't need to be a ticket holder to participate.

Do you have separate children- and adult-priced tickets?

All tickets to our theatre shows are pre-set at children’s prices to keep our theatre shows as affordable as possible.
